Wow we are finally open! It feels pretty surreal for both of us to be at this point and to be opening our doors.
We are both just so excited to have gotten to this point, and to get to really just hunker down and focus on counseling again. As much as we have enjoyed learning about the business of counseling and starting our own practice, it is really just relieving to have a chance to get back to basics and focus on counseling. In true Tim and Roberta style, I think we couldn’t start a business together without taking a moment to just be grateful for all the things that lead us here.

Thank you to all of our mentors, advisors, teachers, friends, family, coworkers (past and current), contractors and community members who helped us get to this point. We try not to take for granted how much each and every person helped us build our skills and confidence over the years. No one ever succeeds alone, and we want to move forward every day hoping we can do the same to the next one in line.
We are so grateful for all of our clients over the years. As counselors, we play just one small part in the journey of healing, and that so many people have let us walk with them on any portion of their path, we are truly thankful.
We are also just grateful for the chance to do this. As we got closer and closer to being able to do this, it was easy to get stressed out about all the details. What forms are we missing? Who else do we need to talk to? Am I ready to do this? But reflecting today, and writing this blog, we just both want to recognize how lucky we are to get to do this. We are both healthy, well trained, have a great support network, and had a great safety net to make this happen. Hopefully we can take all of those gifts and opportunities and pass them on to our community.

And if you are reading this blog, either as a potential client, current client, referral source, community member, or just interested reader, thank you. We are so excited to get started, and feel free to get in touch!
